In order to improve Europe’s position in the renewable energy market, the project will pursue the expected results described below:
Demonstration
Deliver a demonstrator that overcomes the fundamental thermalisation losses by converting high energy electrons into several lower energy electrons.
Fabrication
Provide novel solutions in advanced fabrication processes suitable for solar cell manufacturing and microelectronics.
Characterisation
Develop specific physical and electrical characterisation methods with a nanometric level of accuracy.
Capacity building
Train researchers, PhD students and engineers to ensure a continuous evolution of European capabilities in this new concept.
