Boosting Solar Efficiency with LEEMONS – Meet Us in Bilbao on the 23rd of September!!

🔆 Exciting news from the LEEMONS project!

Next week, our team will be at EU PVSEC 2025 in Bilbao to present our latest results on Low-Energy Electron Multiplication on Nanostructured Solar Cells (LEEMONS) – a novel route to overcome the efficiency limits of silicon photovoltaics.

📍 Poster Session
Date: 23 September 2025
Time: 08:30 – 10:00
Session: 2BV.1 – New Materials, Devices and Conversion Concepts
Speaker: Dr. Mikaël Hosatte (SEGTON Advanced Technology)

The LEEMONS Horizon Europe project (Grant 101172870) brings together leading European partners (SEGTON AdT, CEA-Leti, ISC Konstanz, CSEM, UMLP, and Roltec) to demonstrate a disruptive concept:
⚡ Using nanostructuring to enable a single high-energy photon to generate multiple electrons, reducing thermalisation losses and boosting Si-PV efficiency.

Our consortium is developing lab-scale proof-of-concept prototypes on PERC and HJT cells, aiming at a scalable, cost-effective, and industry-compatible innovation that directly contributes to Europe’s renewable energy and climate neutrality goals.

We look forward to engaging with the PV community in Bilbao – come visit our poster and let’s discuss the future of next-generation photovoltaics!
